Thank you for providing opportunities for Western New Yorkers of all ages and abilities to create authentic connections to nature at Beaver Meadow.
If you were one of the thousands of people who spent time at Beaver Meadow this past year for relaxation, birding, exercise, or learning, we're so glad you carved that time out for yourself to enjoy the beauty, serenity, and fun the preserve offers. If you couldn't visit, we hope you'll embrace the cooler weather and join us for the winter birds, sparkling snow-covered landscapes, or an education program, and to check out the newly renovated Trillium Nature Center.
With help from supporters like you, there has been a great deal of progress at Beaver Meadow over the past few months: the long-waited accessible treehouse complex construction has begun; a new Storybook Trail was built to promote reading and physical activity among our youngest visitors; air conditioning has been installed; and an ADA-compliant trail was established to connect all accessible components of the property - the nature center, expanded nature play, treehouse complex, and parking lots - welcoming people of all abilities and ages.
We've accomplished a lot, but there's still much to be done - completion of the treehouse and nature playscape expansion, and the regular, but crucial, trail maintenance, habitat protection on all seven of Buffalo Audubon's preserves, education programs, and nature center upkeep.
We need nature, but nature also needs you. Please choose to support Buffalo Audubon today and ensure year-round Beaver Meadow nature experiences are here for Western New Yorkers when they need them.
